Dineen Coffee Company, located at 140 Yonge in the Dineen Building, is quick to please with its mix of modern and rustic decor. The beautiful tile floors and gorgeous ceiling gives off a grander atmosphere than the average coffee shop. Filled on a Saturday afternoon, the hustle and bustle reminded me a lot of New York City. However, don’t be alarmed by a line as service is quick and friendly.
The Space
The space itself is large with a variety of seating from a bar stools to red leather couches. In addition, the large windows, which make up the café, light up the entire place – making it ideal for pictures. I imagine it might be difficult to concentrate on work when Dineen Coffee Company is filled since it can get quite loud, but it would be a great place for conversation and hanging out over great coffee.
The Menu
I ordered a vanilla latte ($4.58), which I would highly recommend. It was delicious, made up of the perfect amount of smooth and sweetness. In addition, their baristas make some great looking latte art. For drip coffee, they pride themselves on their signature blends: Temperance and Feature. Other drink selections include tea, iced drinks, hot chocolates, and cider! Did I mention there’s food? There’s baked goods, sandwiches, parfaits, and more – perfect for a quick breakfast or lunch. They also do events and catering for those who want some great coffee and food at their next event!
